Mr. Mark Morrison, Editor
New River Valley Current
Dear Editor,
Contrary to the article “Residents take charge in election move debate” in the November 3, Current, the Executive Committee of Citizens First has not taken a position about the change in the Blacksburg election cycle. The committee had informally agreed to follow the lead of the League of Women Voters when the League was advocating a study of the possible change. In an interview with Tonia Moxley immediately following the League’s vote, I thought I had made clear that Citizens First supported the League’s original process rather than the conclusion of the process. Citizens First has not endorsed any of the three options for the election cycle.
Sincerely,
David Britt, President
Citizens First
