Wonderful First Wednesdays start on February 6th

Downtown Blacksburg is THE PLACE TO BE on the first Wednesday of every month. Downtown merchants and restaurants will feature special sales, promotions, and extended hours.

Sponsored by the Downtown Merchants of Blacksburg, each Wonderful First Wednesday will have activities for the whole community including:

Special programs for kids and adults at the library:
Valentine's Day card making for children: In the Blacksburg Library, 5–6 pm

Have you tried smocking? Members of the Smocking Arts Guild of America will provide a presentation on smocking, offer educational materials about the history of smocking, display smocking samples, and let adults try their hand at smocking. In the Blacksburg Library Community Room, 5-7 pm

"Mobile Town Hall" with town officials in the lobby of the Lyric Theatre from 5-6 pm
